Louisiana is home to some of the most down-to-earth and resourceful people in the world.  It's no wonder when you think about the constant turmoil they have to endure.  Every few months they are hit with disaster.  The coastline is losing land every day to rising water, and many towns are left unrepaired due to backlog in insurance claims, lack of available laborers, and the attitude of some that it is hopeless to rebuild, but just fix what is necessary.
